The hidden chamber lies beneath the old abandoned church at the edge of town, its entrance concealed behind a false wall in the cellar.
I stumbled upon it by accident, drawn by the strange stench of blood and brine.
The passage leading down is narrow and winding, the air cold and damp.
Torch in claw, I descended into the darkness.
The chamber itself is vast, its walls lined with ancient stone pillars carved with intricate designs.
At its center lies an altar, stained with the blood of countless sacrifices. Strange artifacts litter the room, their purpose and origin unknown to me.
But what truly chills me to the core are the murals. They depict scenes of unimaginable horror.
I dared not linger there for long, but I know that I must return, that I must confront whatever lies at the heart of this madness.
