    I can no longer trust my senses. Shadows dance at the corner of my vision, fleeting glimpses of things that should not be.

    The sea calls to me, its voice now a cacophony of madness. 
    I find solace only in my duty, patrolling the streets at night, hoping to catch a glimpse of whatever lurks in the darkness. 
    
    Chief O'Malley grows concerned, but he cannot understand.
    
    How could he, when even I struggle to comprehend the horrors that unfold before me?
